You know the song...

Just a small town girl, living in a lonely world....

That is me, well, kind of. I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin. When I was born we lived on a farm in an even smaller town. Not that I remember any of it but I remember stories of cows and my sister climbing silos. I have always been surrounded by animals. We have had cats, dogs, ferrets, guinea pigs, kangaroo rats, bunnies, goats, pigs, snakes, fish and I am sure more.

That is why I am cannot believe I am working downtown Milwaukee. I could not have dreamt this is where we would end up. I was pretty sure we were going to live in Portage forever.

Life has thrown us numerous curve balls, fast balls, and even a few change ups we didn't see coming. That is where our reliance on following God's will has come into play. When JJ and I were first married we believed in God and thought we were doing the right thing. Slowly but surely we pressed on to have a deeper relationship with God. With every passing year, we got closer and closer to knowing God and relying fully upon Him. With this transition to Milwaukee/Pewaukee we have learned our reliance and faith in God is at its most critical stage.

I am going to try to keep the Heesch family blog updated. I can't guarantee anything because this is the 3rd blog I have tried to do and it always sounds like a great idea until life gets in the way and you end up not having enough time to sleep more or less time to update a blog. But, I would like to keep our family updated with what is going on in our lives.

Like, for instance, we went to our first high school soccer game on Tuesday. JJ is going to be keeping the clock and score board at the soccer games and keeping the first down lines at freshman football games. So, I know we will be busy with those and attending varsity football games on Fridays and then trying to catch a swimming meet and a few volleyball games. We are looking forward to the upcoming school year and starting to create friendships down here in Pewaukee.

Until next time....
